The other evening we stayed in and saw this beautiful movie about Paul Anderen, a self involved writer. After a fight, hos wife disappears and initially, Paul assumes that she has left him, but slowly, he starts to suspect that something much worse has happened. He moves back to the sleepy town, perched along the Atlantic ocean, where he grew up, to start over with his two kids. It turns out, that when he opens up to the people around him, life gets more complicated.
The English title is Headwinds and starrs Benoît Magimel, Isabelle Carré and Audrey Tautou. It is directed by Jalil Lespert. It is beautifully directed and filmed and is worth just under two hours of your time. Allez.
